What is Glowforge Premium?

Glowforge Premium is an upgrade to Glowforge Print, and it brings new designs, features, and tools to help you print with amazing creativity and efficiency. Each customer gets a lifetime free subscription to Glowforge Print. Glowforge Premium is a paid upgrade that makes it even better.

When you log in to app.glowforge.com for the first time, you’ll automatically get a 28-day trial period to Glowforge Premium. That will give you a full 4 weeks to try out all the designs and tools that Glowforge Premium provides!

How much does Glowforge Premium cost?

Glowforge Premium costs $50 per month or $600 for an annual subscription.

However, we’re offering an incredible discount on the annual subscription, available for $239 in a single payment for the year, which works out to be less than $20 per month. Customers in the UK are charged in GBP.

How do I update my payment method?

You can add a new payment method, add a backup payment method, and remove an outdated payment all from the Glowforge App.

NOTE: To avoid any issues with your subscription be sure to remove any outdated payment methods from your account.

All updates to your payment method are done in the Payment Methods section of the Glowforge app. To get there:

  1. Go to app.glowforge.com and sign in.
  2. At the top right of the Dashboard, click your printer's name, and then click settings.
  3. On the upper left of the screen, click Purchase History
  4. On the next screen, click Manage Subscription.
    NOTE: If this window fails to open, confirm your browser is set to allow pop-up windows, then try again.
  5. In the Manage Subscription window, click Payment Methods.

From here you can either add a new payments method, update an existing payment method, or remove an old payment method.

To add a payment method

  1. On the Payment Methods screen, click the Add New button.
  2. Enter your new credit card information and click the Add button.
    NOTE: If you add a second payment method, the system will ask you if you would like to designate it as your Primary payment method or as a Backup.

To update an existing payment method

  1. Click on the payment method you want to update.
  2. Click Edit Payment Method and enter your updated information.
  3. Click Update.

To remove a payment method

NOTE: You will need to add a new payment method before you can remove the existing one.

  1. Click on the payment method you want to remove.
  2. Click the Remove Payment Method link.
  3. Click the Confirm button.

How do I download a Payment Invoice?

  1. Go to the Glowforge App (https://app.glowforge.com/) and sign in.
  2. At the top right of the Dashboard, click your printer's name, and then click settings.
  3. On the upper left of the screen, click Purchase History
  4. On the next screen, click Manage Subscription. NOTE: If this window fails to open, confirm your browser is set to allow pop-up windows, then try again.
  5. In the Manage Subscription window, click Billing History to download an invoice.

Can I pay with a purchase order (PO) or any other non-credit card methods?

Unfortunately, it’s not possible. A Glowforge Premium subscription requires a credit card payment. However, if you are a school or institution, please reach out to our sales team and they can help.

How do I download the 'Design of the Month' or 'Free with Premium' Catalog Designs?

In order to get the Design of the Month or the Free with Premium catalog designs, you will need a credit card on file. Once you provide your credit card, a $0 transaction will be processed in order to facilitate the download, and you'll be able to download the designs for free.

Please note, you will need to enter your credit card here and not when purchasing a design from the shop. 

If you add your credit card during the trial, your payment will be processed at the end of your trial period. And of course, you can cancel anytime.

Can I change from a monthly subscription to a discounted annual subscription?

To update to Annual Plan subscription 

  1. Go to the Glowforge App (https://app.glowforge.com/) and sign in.
  2. At the top right of the Dashboard, click your printer's name, and then click settings.
  3. On the upper left of the screen, click Purchase History
  4. On the next screen, in the Manage Subscription window, click on the active Monthly subscription box. NOTE: If this window fails to open, confirm your browser is set to allow pop-up windows, then try again.

  5. In the Subscription Details window, click Edit Subscription.
  6. Select Annual plan and enter Coupon Code - GF2935AUS
  7. Click the Update Subscription button and checkout.

How do I add another user to my account?

Each Glowforge Premium subscription comes with 1 primary member and 2 additional members. To add additional members, you must first invite them to your Glowforge printer. 

To invite a user:

  1. Go to the Glowforge App (https://app.glowforge.com/) and sign in.
  2. At the top right of the Dashboard, click your printer's name.
  3. Click settings, and then click add user
  4. Type the email address of the person you want to invite. To invite more than one person, type a list of emails separated by commas.
  5. If you have multiple printers, select the Glowforge printer you want to invite them to.
  6. Click Add Users.

Your invited users will receive an email with instructions to set up their accounts. When they sign in, they’ll see some designs to get them started, and they’ll also be able to post questions and projects in the forum. 

Once your invited users have been added, you can select the users you would like included in your Glowforge Premium paid subscription plan. 

Here's how to add users to your Glowforge Premium account:

  1. Go to the Glowforge App (https://app.glowforge.com/) and sign in.
  2. At the top right of the Dashboard, click your printer's name.
  3. Click settings, and then click the user's name
  4. Click the checkbox next to Glowforge Premium to add users to your subscription and hit Save. 

They will see the premium subscription features the next time they login.

Can I pause my Glowforge Premium subscription?

Pausing a Glowforge Premium subscription is not possible at this time, but we’ve heard that some customers would like a way to do it. We are considering it for the future.

How do I cancel my Glowforge Premium subscription?

Even though we’re sorry to see you go, we’ve made it easy to cancel your subscription.

Just remember, without Glowforge Premium:

  • Your free with Premium catalog designs will disappear.
  • You will be removed from the Fast Lane servers so your prints will no longer be accelerated.
  • You’ll lose access to the text, shape, outline, and other creative tools.
  • Any designs you haven’t used in 30 days will be removed.

Remember, unlimited storage is available with Glowforge Premium, but not with Glowforge Print. So, before you cancel your subscription, make sure to export and save any designs that you want to keep.

 To export and save your designs

  1. Sign in to the Glowforge App (https://app.glowforge.com/).
  2. In the Dashboard, click to open your design.
  3. Click the three-dot More menu, select Export Design, and then follow the onscreen instructions.

 To cancel your subscription

  1. Go to the Glowforge App (https://app.glowforge.com/) and sign in.
  2. At the top right of the Dashboard, click your printer's name, and then click settings.
  3. On the upper left of the screen, click Purchase History
  4. On the next screen, click Manage Subscription. NOTE: If this window fails to open, confirm your browser is set to allow pop-up windows, then try again.
  5. In the Manage Subscription window, click on your active subscription. 
  6. In the Subscription Details window, click Cancel Subscription.
  7. If you’d like, you can give us some feedback about why you're canceling, and then click Confirm Cancellation.

Once you’ve canceled, your subscription will remain active through the end of the current billing period.

Of course, you’ll always have access to all the wonderful things that Glowforge Print can do. And, you can upgrade your subscription again anytime.

Please note: If you re-subscribe, any discounts you previously had on your account will not be applied.
