Create Accounts, Share (or Unshare) Your Glowforge

Create your account

To use your Glowforge, you’ll need to login to the Glowforge App (https://app.glowforge.com). From there you can buy Proofgrade® materials, browse designs from the Catalog, and upload your own projects for printing.

To login, you need a username and password. If you don't have one, follow these steps to create one:

  1. Go to setup.glowforge.com

  2. Follow the prompts there to create your Glowforge account.

  3. Continue to follow the on-screen instructions to set up your Glowforge.

Want to share your Glowforge?

It’s easy to share your Glowforge, by creating an account for your friend, or, if they already have a Glowforge account, granting them access to your printer.
Before you start sharing, though, know that anyone you invite to use your Glowforge will have “Full Access” to it, meaning they can:

  • Send a print to your Glowforge (someone must push the button to start it)
  • View the images from the camera in your Glowforge
  • See when something is printing on your Glowforge, and who sent the print
  • Cancel ongoing prints
  • See who else has access to use the printer, and add and remove other users

However, invited users cannot use your credit card to make purchases, and don’t have access to your digital files stored with us (for example, your past prints or catalog purchases).

Add a user to your Glowforge

It's simple to add another account to your Glowforge:

  1. Sign in to the Glowforge App (app.glowforge.com).

  2. In the upper-right corner, you'll see a drop-down box with your printer's name, like this:

  3. Click on it, then click the Add User option.

  4. A new screen will appear. Enter your friend's email address. (If you add multiple friends, separate their email addresses with a comma.) It should look like this:

  5. Select the Glowforge printer(s) you want them to be able to access.
  6.  Click the Add Users button.
  7. Your friend will receive an email to set up their accounts. When they sign in, they’ll see some designs to get them started, and they’ll be able to post questions and projects in the community forum, too.
