Introduction

When saving a file as an SVG in Illustrator or Inkscape, the following settings lead to the most reliable prints.

SVG Settings - Inkscape 

To save your design as a plain SVG in Inkscape:

• In the menu bar, click File > Save As.
• In the window that opens, select “Plain SVG” from the drop-down menu.

• Name your file and click “Save”
  
  

SVG Settings - Adobe Illustrator 

To save your design as an SVG in Illustrator

• In the menu bar, click File > Save As.
• In the window which opens, use the settings shown in the following screenshot:
  
  
• Click “OK”
